TRV

TRP

Temporary Resident Permit (TRP), although sounds similar to TRV, it is very very different. TRPs are for individuals who are inadmissible to Canada or does not meet the requirements of Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). They are unique applications that is judged by the delegated authority by balancing individual’s purpose for entering Canada with Canada’s social, humanitarian and economic commitments to the health and security of Canadians.

An approval could range from 1 day to 3 years and can be cancelled any time by the designated authority.

Note:

  • A valid TRV does not guarantee an entry to Canada. The Officer at the Canadian Port of Entry will admit the visitor into Canada after the visitors demonstrate their eligibility.
  • Criminality and medical issues are ristrictive to a visitor from entering Canada.
  • Visitors to Canada must be able to prove their ability to support themselves during their intended temporary stay in Canada.
